AI drafts it. A person approves it.
An AI review reply engine for Roach Family Dentistry, Nashville
JBowman Creative built Roach Family Dentistry, a dental practice in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, an AI powered review reply engine that reads every new Google review, drafts a reply in the practice's own voice, and holds it for a person to approve before anything posts. The system is built, tested, and live on the practice's real Google Business Profile today, a 1,109 review, 4.8 star profile, and it has posted zero replies without a human approving them first.

The challenge
Roach Family Dentistry had one person reading every new review, writing a reply by hand, and pasting it into Google. At 1,100 plus reviews that works, but it does not scale, and three problems sit underneath it that a busy front office never has time to catch.
- Repetition a patient would notice. Reply openings start repeating faster than the person writing them realizes.
- Real compliance risk. Federal regulators fined a dental practice up to $23,000 over what a review reply said, not what the treatment was, New Vision Dental in 2022.
- Nothing checked a reply before it posted. A reply went live the moment someone pasted it in, no check for repetition, no check for a reply that accidentally confirmed a patient's care.
What we built
The fix was not auto posting. It was taking the blank page away from the person writing the reply while keeping that person fully in charge of every single send. Five steps:
- Pull new reviews from the practice's Google profile.
- Draft a reply in the practice's own voice using six rotating openings.
- Screen every draft with an independent privacy check before a human sees it.
- Approve individually, with no approve all button.
- Log every posted reply so nothing repeats.
Negative reviews never touch the drafting model. Anything at three stars or below routes to a fixed, pre approved response with a human still signing off individually.
The results
- 1,109 reviews on the practice's Google profile, all covered
- 4.8 stars, the practice's current Google rating
- 2.8 seconds, average time for the engine to draft a reply
- 0 replies ever posted without a human's approval
- About 217 hours a year of manual reply work returned to the practice
Questions about AI review replies
What is an AI review reply engine?
It reads new reviews on a business's Google Business Profile, drafts a personalized reply in the business's own voice, and routes that draft to a person for approval before it ever posts publicly.
How does this avoid compliance risk in a regulated industry like dental care?
Every draft passes an independent privacy and compliance screen before a human sees it. It never adds a clinical detail, even when the patient mentions one first, and negative reviews route to a fixed, safe response.
Does the AI ever post without a person approving it first?
No. Every reply needs an individual click from a real person. No auto posting, no approve all, no batch approval.
How much time does this save a dental practice?
Roach Family Dentistry's own estimate is about four hours a week, roughly 217 hours a year, based on 25 or more new reviews a week.
Is this only useful for dental practices?
No. Any business where a review reply could become a liability: medical practices, law firms, financial advisors, veterinary clinics, senior living and home care, multi location healthcare groups.
