Giving back
We build brands. We also build up the people around us.
JBowman Creative was started in Nashville by people who were shaped by their church, their neighbors, and a few nonprofits that showed up when it mattered. Giving back is not a line item for us. It is a big part of why the company exists.

- 49+charities and nonprofits the JBC family of companies has teamed up with

Mechanics on a Mission
Love your neighbor. Fix the car.
Mechanics on a Mission is a Nashville nonprofit that fights transportation insecurity across Middle Tennessee. Single parents, veterans, widows, and families who have been through more than their share get free car repairs, and when a repair is not enough, a free vehicle. The work is done by volunteer mechanics and partner shops like Christian Brothers Automotive, Nelson Mazda, and Tire World, and it is led by Brian Sweatt, a pastor with Our Church Ministries who started it after the 2010 Nashville flood showed him what a city can do when it decides to help.
For the families they serve, a working car is the difference between keeping a job and losing it, between making the doctor's appointment and missing it, between getting the kids to school and not. In the last year alone the team has given away dozens of vehicles and repaired well over a hundred more at no cost to the owner. That is why this is our headline cause.
JBowman Creative designed and built the Mechanics on a Mission website, and we keep showing up with the things we are good at: photography on car giveaway days, video that tells the stories of the families who drive away, and creative for the events and fundraisers that keep the shop running. Every set of keys handed over is a family that gets its future back.

Standing with Ukrainian families
When the war in Ukraine began, we did not want to just post a flag. We wanted to do something that would still matter years later.
Since our founding, JBowman Creative has partnered with Ukrainian families to give them opportunities to earn a living, doing video editing, motion graphics, animation, and post production for the brands you see across this site. Nick Kotenko and Oleh Sharaburiak, two of the most talented editors we have ever worked with, cut and finish our work from Ukraine with their families beside them.
Earlier this year we passed a milestone we are prouder of than any award: more than $100,000 paid to Ukrainian families for their hard work. Every dollar came from client projects they made better, and every dollar went to a family holding its life together through a war.
Meet the whole teamHitting that number is the best thing that has ever happened to me in business.

Our church home
The Gospel Church
JBowman Creative is a company built by people of faith, and The Gospel Church in West Nashville is where many of us are on Sunday morning. The church exists to share the gospel and make disciples of Jesus who know they are loved and sent, and it is the reason giving back is baked into how we run our business.
We give the church our time and our craft the same way we give them to our clients, with video for services and events and creative for outreach. Some of our favorite footage we have ever shot was from the back of a sanctuary.

Websites we have built for people doing good
A nonprofit's website has to do the work of a whole development office. It has to earn trust in seconds, tell a story that moves someone, and make giving simple. These are a few of the organizations we have built for, and we would do it again tomorrow.
