A facilities contractor website for Henderick, Nashville

Henderick is a Nashville facilities solutions firm doing maintenance, renovation, and repair work for government agencies and public school districts, with ongoing work across Metro Nashville Public Schools campuses. JBowman Creative designed and built henderick.com for a buyer no residential contractor ever meets: a procurement officer checking whether a firm is licensed, bonded, cleared, and safe to put on a campus.

The challenge

Selling to a school district works in a completely different way from selling to a homeowner. The person reading the site is a facilities director or a procurement officer with a compliance checklist, and the questions they need answered come before any conversation about the work: are the crews licensed and bonded, are they OSHA certified, have they cleared background checks, and can they be on a campus while children are there.

Henderick also had to solve a staffing problem through the same site. Facilities work runs on crews and on subcontractors, and both had to be able to raise their hand without going through the same front door as a school district.

What we built

A site that answers the procurement checklist before it sells anything. The credentials sit on the homepage in plain language, the institution types Henderick serves are named outright, and the two recruiting audiences get doors of their own.

  • A homepage that names the five service lines up front: interior upgrades, athletic surfaces, grading and drainage, paving and exterior maintenance, and preventive facilities management
  • A credentials block covering government contract expertise, licensing and bonding, OSHA certification, background cleared crews, and 24 hour emergency response
  • A list naming the institutions Henderick serves, from school districts to public works departments to procurement teams looking for a licensed general contractor
  • Featured project cards for the work that proves the point, including a high school football stadium, EV charging stations at a transportation hub, and a parking lot expansion
  • Separate Careers and Subcontractor pages, so crews and trade partners each have their own way in
  • A portfolio page carrying the full project record for anyone evaluating a bid

Built for search. Every service line and both recruiting paths sit at their own indexable URL, and the copy names the buyer in the words they use: facilities maintenance, public sector, school districts, procurement. Canonical tags and structured data are in place across the site.

The results

  • Live at henderick.com
  • Seven indexable pages across services, portfolio, careers, and subcontractor intake
  • Canonical tag and two structured data blocks in place, and the build renders responsively on a phone

Questions about the Henderick project

What did JBowman Creative build for Henderick?

A facilities contractor site organized around public procurement: service lines named up front, credentials and clearances stated plainly, the institution types they serve listed outright, and separate intake for crews and subcontractors.

How is a website for a public sector contractor different?

The reader is a facilities director or procurement officer working through a compliance checklist, so licensing, bonding, OSHA certification and background clearance belong on the homepage. A residential site can lead with photography. This one leads with whether you are allowed on the property.

Does JBowman Creative build websites for commercial and public sector contractors?

Yes. JBowman Creative builds for businesses across Middle Tennessee, from home builders and developers to commercial and public sector contractors, and the same discipline applies: lead with what the buyer has to verify, then show the work.
